HISTORY

In 1962, ASTRA incorporated in to their existing group a subsidiary company under the name of Astrafor S.A. whose main objective was drilling oil wells.

In 1986 Astrafor S.A. began drilling oil wells in Ecuador and continued until 1992.  In 1992, DRILLFOR S.A. was formed to continue Astrafor S.A.’s operations in Ecuador, taking over the equipment, personnel and existing contracts.

Since then, DRILLFOR S.A. has drilled, completed and reconditioned oil and gas wells for many prestigious clients in the public and private sector within South America, always according to our policies of gradual growth and selective regional employment.
